Over many years, a dedicated 24/7 support team was established to meet the evolving needs and anticipated decline of our loved one. Throughout this journey, several caregivers provided consistent, compassionate care and became trusted members of the support team, including Jenna, Theresa, April, Ola, Marty, Alexis, and, until recently, Shari. Jackie, the RN Manager, has been an exceptional partner throughout the years and continues to provide support following the passing of our loved one, regularly checking in and offering guidance and comfort. From the beginning, our shared commitment was centered on ensuring the highest quality of care through thoughtful caregiver matching, comprehensive shared training, and open communication. Jackie consistently reviewed care plans. Respect, dignity, and meaningful engagement were always priorities. My wife suffers from Parkinsonism and has multiple physical and mental constraints. She has received care from Connie for 18 months. Lynn has thoroughly enjoyed Connie’s presence in our home and would always look forward to her biweekly visits. Home Instead has served Rhode Island families for almost 30 years. Care doesn’t have to begin with a full schedule. Someone might initially need shower assistance a few times a week, help starting the day, transportation, or companionship.

Our local team can typically begin care within 24 hours.
That can be especially helpful when needs change unexpectedly or an older adult is returning home after a hospital or rehabilitation stay. We’ll learn what support is needed, create a customized care plan, and coordinate Care Pros around the client’s schedule.
Training is an important part of our local approach. We operate our own CNA school, and most of our approximately 150 Care Pros are CNAs. Our team also includes three nurses, with our Client Care Manager serving as Director of Nursing.
Home Instead Warwick also provides transportation for clients who need help getting to medical appointments, shopping, the park, or other destinations.

Most of our Care Pros are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Initial CNA certification requires 120 hours of training, followed by 24 hours of continuing education every two years.
Our local Home Instead team also operates its own CNA school. All staff receive annual dementia training, and some have earned the Alzheimer’s Association’s essentiALZ® certification.
Yes. Transportation is a service many of our local clients need.
A Care Pro can help an older adult get to a doctor’s appointment, go shopping, visit a park, or complete other outings included in the care plan. Transportation can also be combined with companionship or help at home before and after an outing.
Our team supports organizations including the APDA Rhode Island Chapter, Alzheimer’s Association, and Hope Alzheimer’s Center. Our owner serves on the Board of the APDA Rhode Island Chapter and currently holds the position of Treasurer.
We also provide uncompensated care for some clients and support other local organizations serving older adults and families.
