Our Team

Your Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners possess a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in their community. It's the reason why they were chosen to serve seniors and their families.

When you're ready for help, our caring staff is on call to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your senior services needs.

Tina Rowley, R.N., C.S.A.
Franchise Owner

Owner of Home Instead Senior Care, Birmingham, Michigan since 1999, Tina Rowley is a registered nurse.  Prior to her present work, Tina developed a role as a project manager for nursing at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland.  Her work revolved around the elder population and the need for better understanding, by all professionals, of the elder person's unique needs and care.  She put into place specialized protocols to improve the care of the hospitalized elderly.  This information has proven invaluable in her present work as the owner of a home care company that provides assistance to seniors.  The assistance in activities of daily living and companionship, help seniors remain in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their home.

"I have a passion for assisting seniors and their family caregivers in having an improved quality of life.  Even though I am not as much hands on as in the first few years of business, I still keep close touch with who our clients are, how they are doing, and the quality of our staff.  It is important to me for Home Instead Senior Care to provide physical, mental, and spiritual support."

Tina knows Home Instead Senior Care is a great company because, "We care and we manage care to bring the safest, most comfortable, companionable care, quality and comfort into the lives of seniors who require assistance."

You can read more about Tina's background and experience on the About Us page.

Tom Rowley
Franchise Owner

Tom left a sales career in the automotive parts manufacturing industry a few years back to begin working with his wife, Tina.  His role started out slowly as the expert office repair and maintenance liason.  However, in 2005 he started working full-time in helping with administrative duties to include accounts payable and other management duties.

"What makes our franchise a great company is the leadership and value system of Tina," says Tom. "This has always been her vision and desire, and you can still see her passion in everything we do nearly ten years later."

Tom is a huge Wisconsin football and baskteball fan. He enjoys "any meal I don't have to make myself."

Bert Copple, M.A.
General Manager

Bert has been with Home Instead Senior Care since August of 2006.  In his role, Bert works to help business owners and their employees understand the importance of being a proactive caregiver, and how Home Instead's respite or companionship services can save businesses and employees money.

"I really enjoy helping working caregivers understand the importance of being proactive.  When they understand that the grab bar should go in the shower before mom or dad fall, and not after the fact, it makes my job worth while."

Bert is a decorated U.S. Army veteran, a pastor, a husband, and the father of two boys, Noah and Brady.

His favorite movie is Patch Adams, and his favorite food is lasagna.

Bert also manages the Home Instead Birmingham blogs.  You can access them by clicking on the links:

Tonya Brummitt
Staffing Coordinator

Tonya started with Home Instead in April of 2007 and has been managing client and CAREGiver schedules ever since.  Her job is to find the delicate balance that allows the right CAREGiver team to be matched up with the right client.

"What I love about my job is the feeling I get when I know I have helped a client and their family by lining up the right CAREGiver for them.  It makes a world of difference in their lives, and the quality of care they receive."

Tonya's favorite movie is Urban Cowboy and her favorite type of food is Mexican.

She is also the proud mom of two little girls, Emma and Sara.

Mary Frizzell
Client Care Coordinator

Mary has been working for Home Instead Senior Care for more than three years, including a franchise in Anchorage, Alaska.  In her current role she meets new and prospective clients at all service calls, and helps manage our client's plan of care by conducting routine quality visits with those we care for.

Mary is a phenomenal cook and often gives classes to our CAREGivers on how they can better prepare meals for our senior clients who struggle with meal planning and preparation.

Jeff Eggenberger
CAREGiver Recruitment Coordinator

Jeff was hired in November of 2006 to begin working as Home Instead Birmingham's Retention and Recruitment Coordinator.  In his role, he screens potential CAREGiver hires, interviews candidates, completes background checks, and works hard to get the word out in the general public about our need for finding good, experienced caring people to join our team.

"I love working here because the services we provide impact so many lives.  It is good to know that when we make a good hire, we're actually creating the potential to change someone's life for the better."

Jeff's favorite movie is Cadyshack, and he enjoys cajun food.

Anne Monaghan
CAREGiver Education & Retention Coordinator

Anne first started working with Home Instead in Birmingham in April of 2006 as the Staff Coordinator.  A caregiver herself, Anne took a leave of absence to care for her mother who suffered with severe Alzheimer's Disease.  After her mom passed away, she returned to Home Instead in March of 2008 to serve in a new role as the office's Education and Retention Coordinator.

"It's very rewarding to give the tools of education to our CAREGivers so that they can provide a high level of care and companionship for our clients in a professional way."
