2 weeksJust finished up a three-year plus relationship with the Metairie Home Instead franchise. They were fantastic from the get-go. Communication was exceptional. At first, they were there to assist my mom in caring for my dad who suffered from aphasia. After dad passed, they stayed on to help twice a week with my mom. We only stopped when it came time to move mom to an assisted living facility. Mom grew very attached to her primary Home Instead caregivers. First, there was Viola, who mom absolutely loved. But Viola, unfortunately, suffered a broken foot ans was out of the rotation for a while. During the interim, Rose took Viola's place as our regular Tuesday/Thursday provider. And mom promptly fell in love with Rose, too. Mom liked Rose so much that, on the rare occasions when Rose had a conflict, mom opted to go without care rather than have a different provider sub in. That's not a knock on the Home Instead bench--it's really just that mom felt really comfortable with Rose and had reached an age where the thought of learning someone new was stressful to her.

I can't remember everyone's names but Hillary and Ashley and Amber in the office were delightful. Our Caretaker Lynette has been phenomenal. She swooped in and knew exactly what needed to be done and how to handle it all with grace. It's challenging because she is not only handling my father but my elderly mother as well! Lynette had a sub one day Irion who was also fabulous and I'm just so impressed with their professionalism throughout this whole process.
