The backbone of the company is a franchise network of more than 800 businesses located in the United States and 11 other countries around the world (Canada, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Switzerland and Germany). Our 50,000 CAREGiversSM deliver millions of hours of service annually and have served hundreds of thousands of clients since the company was founded in 1994. Home Instead CAREgivers are trained carefully and are matched to complement the needs and personalities of their clients. We care for seniors in practically any living arrangement providing stand-by or hands on assistance with Activities of Daily Living, social interaction and help with everyday needs to preserve an independent lifestyle. Additional services Home Instead CAREgivers provide are helping with meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders and companionship care.
With this foundation, the Home Instead Senior Care network desires to engage you in exploring ways our organizations can work together. Our goal is to build relationships that will exemplify the Home Instead Senior Care brand, provide top-line growth or bottom-line gain and that give our Franchise Owners and the entire Home Instead Senior Care network a competitive advantage.
Each Home Instead Senior Care franchise office is independently owned and operated. It is our intent to secure and promote preferred partners, vendors and relationships to provide each Franchise Owner with benefits. However, participation is at the discretion of each franchise location.
The following is a list of Vendor and Partnership Criteria. Please look at these and give us an idea of how you can carry out these criteria when doing business with our network. You will also find information on the back page about the complete process that all potential partners will complete in order to work with Home Instead Senior Care.

In order to work with you, the following information is required:
- Brand standards are very important to our network, and we want to work with companies with a well known brand as well as a brand that is held in high regard. Please convey your brand standards, and give examples of your brand awareness in the market.
- Top-line growth or bottom-line gain is crucial for our franchise network when we enterinto relationships. Tell us how you will be able to provide a method of savings, orgenerate revenue.
- Explain how your company can offer us favorable terms and services to provide a sustained advantage over our competition.
- A long-term relationship is our intention. Tell us how your company will be able to support, endure and prosper in a long-term relationship.
- We have around 800 Franchise Offices in the U.S. as well as offices in 11 other countries.For the relationship to have value, we need service coverage to appeal to the majority of theU.S. or Canadian market. Please indicate your service areas below:

- Efficiency is valuable in any business. Demonstrate the ease of the service and the levelof comprehension that will be necessary to use the service or your product.
- Customer service is imperative in our business. The HISC franchise network is held to a high customer service standard. These include returning phone calls/emails within 24 hours of initial contact, being courteous at all times and having an escalation plan when issues need more attention. Please convey how your company will honor these standards.
- Specify how your company will implement the partnership internally and what process our Franchise Owners will need to follow to participate in the partnership.
- What types of reports do you have to measure the success of the program?
- Does this relationship have the potential of being exclusive, even if for a particular time length?

How to become a partner with the Home Instead Senior Care network
- Vendor & Relationship Criteria Information packet will be mailed to potential partner.
- Potential partner has 30 days to submit details electronically at homeinstead.com/businessrelationships outlining how it is able to fulfill the criteria.
- A review of the information received will be completed. If the potential partner fails to meet the criteria then a letter will be sent notifying the company of such a decision. If company meets the criteria, then:
- The Business Relationship Focus Group will hold discussions about the potential partner at the beginning of each month and provide the final decision. This Focus Group is comprised of nine owners that represent the U.S., Canada and our Franchise Exchange Council. This group is critical to engage the network and help to generate revenue alliances, relationships and initiatives.
- The potential partner will need to provide three references with whom they have a contract. Those references will be checked and a letter will be mailed with the results to the potential partner after the Business Relationships Focus Group has met.
- An appropriate agreement will be signed by new vendor or partner.
