At that point, we will invite you back to Omaha to go through the Home Instead Senior Care Franchise Development training. Who are the founders of Home Instead Senior Care?Paul and Lori Hogan founded the Home Instead Senior Care network in 1994. Both were born in Georgia, and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul has a business degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Lori holds a degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. They were both experienced business owners when they found themselves facing the challenge of finding much-needed senior services as they cared for Paul's grandmother for 12 years.
Recognizing the growing need for in-home non-medical elder care, the couple started Home Instead Senior Care, operating out of an office in Paul's mother's home. Just one year later, the company began franchising, growing to 99 offices by 1998 and earning recognition by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing franchise companies in the U.S. In 2,000 the Hogans began international development and in 2007, Paul Hogan was recognized as the International Franchise Association's Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Paul and Lori are truly passionate about improving the lives of seniors and their families around the world. Their dedication to that cause is the driving force behind all facets of the Home Instead Senior Care brand, from global development to franchisees to office staff to CAREGivers. In just 15 short years, the Hogans have established themselves as leaders in the worldwide senior care industry and expanded the reach of their mission with the creation of the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation in 2003. The Foundation's objective is to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations specializing in projects and programming that improve the quality of life for seniors worldwide.
Today the Hogans focus their efforts on global aging issues, industry-related policies and philanthropic efforts, and they recently co-authored Stages of Senior Care – Your Step-by-Step Guide to Making the Best Decisions, all proceeds of which go to the Foundation. Of course they continue to stay personally involved in the ongoing development of Home Instead Senior Care -- assuring its reputation as the world's most trusted source of companionship and home care for seniors remains for future generations.
As a Master Franchisee applicant, you will have the opportunity to meet with Paul, Lori and other members of the senior leadership team in Omaha. Lori continues to teach portions of the new owner training sessions and Paul loves to talk business with franchisees every chance he gets. |
