At Klipsch Senior Care, LLC. (Home Instead) you will help to make to change the face of aging and help seniors to live with dignity and respect wherever they call home.

The Accounting Assistant performs a variety of duties in accounting: including billing with a focus on state funded clients and VA clients as well as long-term care clients, accounts receivable ensuring payments are received in a timely manner, payroll processing and special projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be the Champion/expert on the billing/claim submission of state funded clients.
  • Be the Champion/expert on billing/claim submission of VA clients.
  • Monitoring of outstanding amounts due for both state funded and VA clients and following up when necessary, when full amount of claim is not paid.
  • Submit all Client insurance-related claims and authorizations timely to ensure payment.
  • Help with the semi-monthly client integration process ensuring accuracy of all client data.
  • Help with the process of semi-monthly billing for all Clients including processing of CarePro payroll and PTO.
  • Develop and update accounting related processes as needed.
  • Perform other functions/special projects as necessary.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an accredited University required. Must have a minimum of 2 years office experience in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Klipsch Senior Care, LLC d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the senior care industry.
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work.
  • Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with the franchise owner, management, office colleagues, CARE Professionals and the community.
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone.
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Must have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting.
  • Must have the ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
