This caregiver and client duo is one to be celebrated. Mr. A has been a veteran client of Home Instead since 2020. Soon after starting he was introduced to our Care Pro Edward, and they have been two peas in a pod ever since. Edward is the perfect example of a Care Pro who goes above and beyond for their client.
Since February 2021 Edward has worked to organize Mr. A's apartment and calendar. Over the last two years he has worked to make things more accessible and give Mr. A a safer home environment. He coordinates with family members and doctors to make sure Mr. A makes it to all his appointments. When Edward notices a change in Mr. A's condition, he contacts a specialist to get to the bottom of this change and finds solutions. He has made so many positive changes to his life not only health wise but mentally too.
The pair often drive long distances to get to Mr. A's favorite restaurant, Poke Bros. He makes sure he is engaged in activities where he lives and encourages him to attend things like Wii bowling and dances. I know their relationship brings mutual joy and we couldn't imagine one without the other. Care Pros like Edward make us inspired to not only provide good care, but excellent care that promotes quality of life
