At Home Instead, we learn and work alongside other senior care professionals so we all can provide better care to seniors in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Recently, we brought our Person-Centered Alzheimer’s Care training to the staff at Merrill Gardens.
During our training session, we discussed strategies for providing compassionate care to individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Our approach includes understanding the challenges and behaviors associated with memory loss, creating a familiar environment, and promoting engagement through meaningful activities.
By focusing on person-centered care, we aim to celebrate each individual's life story and preserve their identity throughout their journey with Alzheimer's. We are proud to collaborate with Merrill Gardens and other memory care facilities to enhance the quality of care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease.
