Our wonderful Care Pros had a fantastic time supporting the residents at Harmony on the Peninsula recently for their tie-dye event in recognition of The Longest Day! The Longest Day, the day with the most light, is the annual time to recognize and support Alzheimer's and dementia research and care.
We brought dyes, gloves, and white shirts for the residents to make their vibrant creations. Tie-dyeing is a fantastic activity for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia as it stimulates creativity and encourages social interaction. The bright colors and the process of tie-dyeing can also be very soothing for the residents.
This event was not only a fun and engaging activity but also a wonderful way to bring acknowledgment to The Longest Day and what it represents. As we strive to provide the best Alzheimer's Care in Newport News, VA we will continue raising awareness and support for memory-related diseases.
