Daycare Teacher

Central New Hampshire

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Teacher to join our onsite child care program for our employees in Manchester, NH. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment.

The Child Care Teacher will work with 3-4 children maximum. The role is non-supervisory.

We are seeking a team member who will work 25 hours per week from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor the safety of 3-4 children in your care at all times.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and their families.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping.
  • Foster a positive and respectful relationship with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment.
  • Observe children’s behavior and development, and document any significant changes or incidents.
  • Collaborate with other childcare workers and staff to create a supportive team environment.
  • Attend regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in early childhood preferred, ECE credits required for Teachers
  • Ability to pass a background check and health screening
  • ProSolutions trainings required
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain patient, calm, and positive in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry children and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Comfortable with frequent interaction and engagement with young children
