I contacted may agencies seeking care for my husband who has dementia. Home Instead came to my home, went over everything with me. Talked about cost, recommended several options and I selected them. They have been nothing but magnificent every since I became a client. Hours are easy to add and they will adjust your hours to your needs on any given week. Joyce Jones is our caregiver and she is more that just a caregiver. She has become an integral part of our family. She knows how to handle my husband with compassion and knowledge. She provides support, mental stimulation, exercise, meals and gives medicine as needed. Joyce knows where everything in the house is stored, she is fun, funny and provides for my husband's needs and allows me to feel confident that he is in good hands when I am away from home. - Whitney H.I have a dear neighbor who fell in her kitchen last April. She was down for at least 3-4 days with no help. We found her and quickly sent her to st Francis hospital via ambulance. She had broken her hip, the same side that needs a hip replacement. She had surgery for the broken hip and her dr quickly sent her to the awful nursing home on Divisadero and Pine. Marie was there for a month while I researched better alternatives. We looked into assisted living facilities as well as in home care. Home Instead was hands down the best value for the cost. As it turns out, Marie loves her 24 hour caretakers. They’re present and alert when she needs assistance, the keep her well fed and very clean. Marie hasn’t walked on her own since April, but the Home Instead team encourages her to take steps as often as possible and does massage therapy as needed. We love them!
